Evans Library begins curbside service Monday

After considerable deliberation, the Evans Public Library has decided to begin curbside pickup for library materials beginning June 1.
The library staff will be present from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; and from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Library patrons are encouraged to place holds via the online catalog, which is found on the library website. www.evanspubliclibrary.org, on the right side of the screen under SHARE.
Patrons can also call the library, 283-2824, to request materials and set up a time for pickup.
At this time only materials from Evans Public Library are available.
The library will be accepting items returned in the outdoor book drops beginning on Monday, and there are no late fees.
The library staff encourages their patrons to check out the many electronic resources that will continue to be available during the closure.
The library eBook resource is the Cloud Library.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding during this changing health crisis. This situation is unique in our lifetimes,” Librarian Jessica Blain said.
“Please note that library leadership will be constantly re-evaluating the situation.”
“We are working to keep the public and the library staff as safe as possible.
"The Evans Public Library is continuing to monitor and adjust to this changing situation.”
Services available over the coming weeks are subject to change, depending on what is needed to protect the health of our communities.
