KC robotics program receives No. 2 ranking

Kaskaskia College Industrial Technology Program is proud to announce that its Robotics Technology Program has been ranked No. 2 in Illinois among community colleges by Universities.com.
The ranking is based on the compilation of data from government sources, surveys, and editorial review.
Kaskaskia College’s Industrial Technology and Automation programs provide high quality, hands-on training to develop the skills employers are looking for in programing, operating, servicing and maintaining manufacturing systems and processes.
Each degree focuses on different, yet important areas including industrial robotics, programmable controllers, instrument and process control, hydraulics and pneumatics, industrial wiring, drives and motors, computer numerical control, and solid-state and digital electronics.
The program offers hands-on training, real work experiences with graduates earning an average salary of $36,220 to $59,720.
Program Director Lyle Gross said, “Our program was ranked the most affordable out of the top five and the only one in the top five south of Peoria.
“We offer small class sizes, affordability, and hands-on lab experiences, as well as training in both Yaskawa Motoman and Fanuc robotics.”
