Altamont edges South Central, 5-4

Altamont scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to break a tie and record a 5-4 win against South Central on Monday.
South Central led 3-1 after two innings, but Altamont countered with two runs in the third to knot the score.
Altamont scored once in the fifth inning and the Cougars tied the score in the sixth inning before Altamont scored the winning run in the final frame.
Chase Dodson took the loss for South Central, giving up one run and two hits while striking out one in 1 1/3 innings. Logan Lotz allowed four hits and struck out six in five innings.
Neither South Central pitcher gave up a walk.
Dodson was 2-for-3 with two RBI’s, a walk and a run scored to lead South Central offensively.
