Three area athletes won medals at the Illinois Top Times Indoor Championship Track Meet at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington on Friday.
Zane Steele won a second-place medal in the pole vault, setting a new personal record at 14 feet, 6 inches.
Cameron Withers took fourth place in the pole vault, setting a new personal record at 13 feet, then breaking that mark with a 13 feet, 6 inches vault.
Claire Wilhour of Brownstown/St. Elmo won a fifth-place medal at the meet, setting a new school record in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:01.72.
Also participating in the meet for the Vandals were Devon Little, who placed 11th in the 60-meter hurdles with a new personal record of 8.89 seconds; and Dylan Garrett, who placed 18th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.64 seconds.
