Vandalia Police

Jan. 28
• A 15-year-old Vandalia resident was arrested on charges of residential burglary and burglary from a motor vehicle (two counts).
Jan. 27
• Braxton T. Lucas, 25, Vandalia, was arrested at 3 a.m. for failure to comply with sex offender registration, for an alleged violation of bail bond and on a charge of obstruction of justice.
• Trishena L. Berning, 31, was arrested at 1 a.m. in the 400 block of North Kennedy Boulevard on a charge of driving while her license is suspended.
• Lukas D. Townsend, 26, Vandalia, was issued a verbal warning at Ill. Route 185 and Veterans Avenue for having too many auxiliary lights.
• Police received a report at 9:31 a.m. of deceptive practices in the 300 block of Mattes Avenue. An investigation is continuing.
• Police received a report at 10:01 a.m. of two suspicious male juveniles in the area of Randolph and Locust streets. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.
• David C. Catterson, 68, Vandalia, was arrested at 2:42 p.m. for failure to comply with sex offender registration.
• Police received a complaint at 2:44 p.m. of a reckless driver on Jefferson Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
• Police received a report at 4:06 p.m. of a suspicious person at the city cemeteries. The complaint was unfounded.
• Police received a report at 4:29 p.m. of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a park. The issue was resolved.
• Police received a report at 4:48 p.m. of a domestic situation. The person named in the complaint was gone by the time officers arrived.
• Police received a report at 5:31 p.m. of a domestic situation in the 1900 block of West Madison Street. Officers were told the dispute was verbal only, and the parties involved agreed to separate for the evening.
• Police received a report at 11:28 p.m. of a domestic dispute in the 300 block of West Taylor Street. The parties involved agreed to separate for evening.
Jan. 24
• Officer received a report at 7:45 p.m. of a domestic dispute in the 1700 block of West Randolph Street. The matter was resolved without incident.
• Travis L. Eller, 24, Vandalia, was issued a citation at 11:07 p.m. at Remann and Main streets for driving while his license is suspended.
• Police were called at 11:26 p.m. to the 500 block of South Sixth Street for a report of a domestic dispute. One of the parties involved agreed to leave for the evening.
• Officers responded to 10 calls for citizen/motorist assist.
Jan. 22
• Julie Olson, 33, Vandalia, was arrested on a charge of driving while her license is revoked.
