Ryan Matheny, Trevor Markley and Trent Geiler combined for a three-hitter in South Central’s 10-0 win over St. Elmo/Brownstown last Wednesday.
Matheny gave up two hits in three innings, Markley held BSE hitless over two innings and Geiler allowed one hit in one inning of work.
Markley was 2-for-4 with three RBIs, and Geiler was 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Lewis Brown took the loss for BSE, giving up five runs on two hits while striking out two and walking six. Landon Feezel pitched one-third of an inning, giving up two runs on one hit and three walks, Jeffrey Kelly gave up three runs on three hits with one walk and one strikeout in two innings and Isaac Maxey gave up two hits.

Brownstown/St. Elmo was held to just two hits in a 6-0 loss to Altamont on Tuesday.
Isaac Maxey, with a double, and Kolton Sapp had the two hits for the Bombers, who fell to 1-6 on the season.
Lewis Brown took the loss, giving up six runs on seven hits while striking out six and walking four in four-plus innings of work.
The Bombers blasted Mt. Vernon, 19-9, to manage a split at the round robin competition moved to Martinsville on Saturday.
Lewis Brown led the Bombers offensively, going 3-for-3 with a double and three runs batted in. Hunter Strauch and Dalton Denton each went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Isaac Maxey was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, Bryton Pruett was 1-for-4 with two RBIs, and Nate Philpot was 3-for-5.
Jeffrey Kelly, Wade Ireland and Caleb Atwood each had one hit for BSE.
Maxey got the win, giving up one run on one hit while striking out one and walking three in 2 2/3 innings of work.
In the first game of the round robin, Alden-Hebron held BSE to just a double by Dalton Denton in defeating the Bombers, 5-1.
Nate Philpot took the loss, giving up four runs on six hits, striking out five and walking three batters in five-plus innings of work.

Matheny struck out four in his five innings of work, and Trent Geiler gave up two hits while striking out five, recording the win after South Central scored the winning run in the sixth inning. The Cougar pitchers didn’t allow any walks in the contest.

B. Mosley took the loss for the Aces, giving up five runs on four hits and six walks in three innings.
Swain pitched the final three innings, giving up two runs on two hits and two walks.
