Good luck, Vandals

If there's one thing you can say about the Vandalia Vandals football team, it's that they never give up.
The Vandals wrapped up their regular season last Friday, securing a share of the South Central Conference crown with a win over Greenville that broke a 17-year losing streak to the Comets.
Now, the Vandals gear up for a playoff battle with Tolono Unity this Saturday at 2 p.m. It looks to be a tough contest against a team that has become a perennial postseason participant.
But the Vandals have been there before, facing an undefeated Pana squad, then squaring off with Greenville, a team that has had their number in close to two decades.
Coach Jason Clay points out every week that he has a team made up of guys that never give up, that keep on scratching and clawing, despite the odds.
We wish the Vandals good luck as they fight to keep their season going, and urge the community to lend their support.
