? CenterPointe Church, located at 1616 Veterans Ave. in Vandalia, is holding free Weekly Fit Club sessions at 6 p.m. every Thursday.
? TOPS IL 1872, Ramsey, will meet at the Christian Church in Ramsey. Weigh-in is at 6:20 p.m. and the meeting is at 7 p.m.
? A NAR-ANON meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia. The group meets to: learn that drug abuse is an illness; encourage addicts to seek help; replace despair with hope; improve the family attitude; help individuals regain self-confidence.

Friday, Dec. 4

? Evans Public Library's Teen Advisory Board meets at 4 p.m. Teens interested in joining the board should contact Shawna Sprague at the library, 283-2824.
? Crawford-Hale American Legion Post 95 will hold chicken dinner from 5-6:45 p.m. at the Legion Home in Vandalia, followed by bingo.

Saturday, Dec. 5

? Soroptimist International of Vandalia is holding Soroptimist Super Santa Saturday in downtown Vandalia. Breakfast with Santa is from 8-10 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, 727 W. Gallatin St. Admission of $5 per person includes pancakes, sausage and a drink, along with activities, treats and a child's photo with Santa. Downtown businesses will be holding Super Santa Sales on Saturday.
? Bethel Baptist Church will hold its 10th annual Christmas Concert at 6 p.m. The church is located seven miles northwest of Vandalia. More information is on page 3B of today's issue.
? The Mad Dogs Motorcycle Club will hold its 32nd annual Toys for Tots Christmas party at the Mad Dogs Clubhouse in Vera. Gates open at 6 p.m., and admission is $5 or a new toy. It will include a benefit auction, and "Blind Man Driven" performs at 8 p.m.
? "Christmas in St. Elmo" is being held in downtown St. Elmo. It begins at 4 p.m. and includes carriage rides, craft and food booths, music, the lighting of the city Christmas tree, the Parade of Lights and visits with Santa.
? The Family YMCA of Fayette County is holding Parents' Night Out from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Registration begins at 5:15 p.m., and the cost is $10 per child, with additional siblings being $5. The evening includes open gym, games, movies, Santa and Mrs. Claus visit and photos and a concession stand. For more information, contact the YMCA at 283-1258.

Monday, Dec. 7

? The Women of the Moose meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge.
? The Vandalia City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at city hall.

Tuesday, Dec. 8

? The Fayette County Board meets at 7 p.m. in the large courtroom on the second floor of the Fayette County courthouse.
? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? Rainbow Reflections, a local grief support group, will meet from 6-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. Fourth St., Vandalia. Those planning to attend the meeting are asked to contact Mary Miller at 292-5366.

Wednesday, Dec. 9

? The Vandalia Eagles Aerie and Auxiliary will be holding an important vote at 7 p.m. All members are urged to attend.

? The Vandalia Park District Board of Trustees meets at 4:30 p.m. in the conference room at the Okaw Area Vocational Center on the Vandalia Community High School campus.
