? CenterPointe Church, located at 1616 Veterans Ave. in Vandalia, is holding free Weekly Fit Club sessions at 6 p.m. every Thursday.
? TOPS IL 1872, Ramsey, will meet at the Christian Church in Ramsey. Weigh-in is at 6:20 p.m., and the meeting is at 7 p.m.
? A NAR-ANON meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia. The group meets to: learn that drug abuse is an illness; encourage addicts to seek help; replace despair with hope; improve the family attitude; help individuals regain self-confidence.

Friday, July 24

? The Family YMCA of Fayette County, located on Rock Island Avenue in Vandalia, is holding an open house from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. A schedule appears elsewhere on this page.
? Summer Lunches for Kids will provide free lunches from 11-11:30 a.m. in Lincoln Park on Gallatin Street and Rogier Park on West Fillmore Street, at the township building in Shobonier and at the township garage parking lot in Vera.
? Crawford-Hale American Legion Post 95 is holding bingo at the Post Home.
? The American Farm Heritage Museum in Greenville is holding its annual Heritage Days on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. International Harvester is the featured tractor this year. Admission is $7 per person, with children ages 10 and under admitted free. The event includes antique tractor and kids' tractor pulls; sawmill, threshing and steam engine demonstrations, a carnival and live music.
? Moonlight Madness will be held at Vandalia Swimming Pool from 6-11:30 p.m. Admission is $6. Parents are to pick up their children by 11:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 25

? Carson's Lemonade Raid is being held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at County Market in Vandalia. The annual event is held to benefit St. Jude's Children's Hospital research and patients. Donations are being accepted. Carson LaDage, age 8, is the son of Vandalia native Todd LaDage and his wife, Darla, and the grandson of Vandalia residents Bill and Sharon LaDage. Last fall, Carson and Darla LaDage moved to Memphis, Tenn., to start Carson on a clinical trial research drug.

Monday, July 27

? Summer Lunches for Kids will provide free lunches from 11-11:30 a.m. in Lincoln Park on Gallatin Street and Rogier Park on West Fillmore Street, at the township building in Shobonier and at the township garage parking lot in Vera.
 ? The Fayette County Hospital District Board of Directors will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room at the hospital.
? The Vandalia City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at city hall.

? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.

Wednesday, July 29

? Evans Public Library in Vandalia will hold a story time at 4 p.m. Children of all ages are invited.
? Summer Lunches for Kids will provide free lunches from 11-11:30 a.m. in Lincoln Park on Gallatin Street and Rogier Park on West Fillmore Street, at the township building in Shobonier, at the township garage parking lot in Vera and in Lions Park in Ramsey, and from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Brownstown.
? An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 1-7 p.m. at Homestyle Creations, 1675 E. 900 Ave., St. Peter.

Friday, July 31

? Evans Public Library in Vandalia will hold a Fantastic Friday at 4 p.m. Children up to age 10 are invited to listen to stories and make their own lava lamps. Registration is required; to register, call the library, 283-2824.

Saturday, Aug. 1

? A volleyball tournament to raise funds for Cecelia Adams of Herrick, formerly of Ramsey, will be held at Ramsey High School, beginning at 9 a.m. Adams has been diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia. The coed tournament is open to ages 15 and over, and the entry fee is $100 per team. The event also includes a 50/50 raffle and gun raffle, and there will be concessions.
