Vandalia School District Registration

Registration for Vandalia CUSD #203 will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

 

On Tuesday, Aug. 4, the district will register families with last names A-M. For families with multiple last names, the district will go by the last name of the oldest child and register the entire family.

On Wednesday, Aug. 5, the district will register families last names N thru Z. Again, for families with multiple last names, the district will go by the last name of the oldest child and register the entire family.

Familieswill be able to register children online starting Monday, July 27. Those already accessing their child's account will use the same ID and Password to log in to their child's account at www.teacherease.com.

For those parents who do not have an email address, district officials encourage you to create one before registration or the parents that have Smartphones you can use the email you created for your Smartphone. Once you register your child online you will come to registration start at check in and then move to your child's building table(s) to pick-up building specific information, a schedule, and your invoice, then proceed to our check-out table where you will be able to pay all fees at one time.

On the district’s registration days those parents who did not register online will start out at check-in (look at flow chart and directions) and move to the technology area, where assistants will help with the registration process, if needed.

VJHS Registration Flow Chart with directions, physical, sports physical, dental and eye examination forms, along with all supply lists and registration fees, will be posted on our district website at www.vandaliaschools.com.

The Wellness clinic will be on location during registration for those students needing required physicals. Cost will be $25.00 cash or medical card. The Fayette County Health Department will be open registration hours on the 4th and 5th for those needing required immunizations.

ORIENTATION SESSIONS

Vandalia Community High Schoolwill have a mandatory freshman/sophomore orientation at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, in the Vandalia Community High School gymnasium.
Discussion will include the 1 to 1 Chromebook distribution for the classes of 2018 and 2019. Parents must attend and sign all appropriate paperwork for student participation.
Vandalia Junior High and Vandalia Elementary Schools will have a Pre-K through Eighth Grade orientation at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, in the Vandalia Junior High gymnasium. Discussion will include the traffic flow patterns for the 2015-16 school year.

 

Registration Check-In Process:

• Check-inat Table 1

• New students proceed to building table(s)(4, 6 or 7) for  appropriate paperwork.

• Hand paperwork to assistants atTable 2.

• Those who had registered their child or children prior to the registration dates shouldproceed to building assigned table(s)(4, 6, or 7) for your child or children. They will receive specific building information along with a billing invoice.

• Those who have NOT registered online will need to register their child or children online at Table3 BEFORE proceeding to a building table.

• After registering your child at Table 3, parents need to proceed to the building assigned table(s) (4, 6, or 7) for their child or children. They will receive specific building information, along with a billing invoice.

• Those have any questions regarding immunizations, physicals or with children who have allergies or special dietary needs will need to speak to the school nurse atTable 8.

• Those with any questions regarding transportation or bus routes proceedto Table 5.

• Those who plan to get a physical will need to go toLocker Room 11 after they finish the registration process. The cost is $25 cash or medical card. Parents should consider getting this done on the registration date if their child requires a school physical or if thier child needs a sport physical. If you have any questions as to which physical to get, the regular physical overrides a sport physical. Those who need both regular and sport will need only a regular physical, as it will be accepted for sports.

• Once parents have collected all building information and collected thie child's billing invoices, they should proceed to check-outat Table 9, with invoices ready. This will be the last stop in this registration process. The district  encourages parents to, if required, to get children’s physicals at registration.
