Two Vandals earn all-conference honors

Two members of this year's Vandals baseball squad received all-conference honors.
Vandalia's Zach Schaal, a graduating senior, was named to the South Central Conference first team as a designated hitter/utility player.
Sophomore Richie Well was named to the third team as an infielder.
Other members of the SCC first team were pitchers Tyler Hutchinson of Greenville and Spencer Heineman of Piasa Southwestern, catcher Bryce DeSpain of Carlinville, infielders Tyler Hutchinson of Greenville, Craig Faulkner of Greenville, Jake Carter of Carlinville and Blake Lawson of Southswestern, and outfielders Jacob Hall of Greenville, Andrew Fry of Southwestern and Logan Reardon of Roxana.
Named to the second team were pitchers Brady Anderson of Gillespie and Collin Baumgartner of Southwestern, catcher Jacob Ritzhaupt of Southwestern, infielders Joeb Easterday of Carlinville, Brady Anderson of Gillespie, Connor Simmons of Litchfield, Alex Baldwin of Southwestern and Baline Ray of Staunton, outfielders Zack Seymour of Southwestern, Ryan Hutchinson of Greenville and Derick Engelke of Gillespie, and DH/utility Jeff Winter of Pana.
On the third team are pitchers Joeb Easterday of Carlinville, Ryan Hutchinson of Greenville and Logan Reardon of Roxana,  catcher Kyle Dugan of Greenville, infielders Tate Wargo of Gillespie, Rhett Zahradka of Pana, Scott Kasting of Southwestern, Chance Foss of Roxana, Austin Gusewelle of Staunton and Well, outfielders Brayton Gibbs of Carlinville, Paul Rhodes of Pana, Ryan Howard of Litchfield and Blake Vandiver of Roxana, and DH/utility Josh Rudd of Roxana and Dillon Hallemann of Greenville.
