Join the fight against cancer

There isn't a person who hasn't suffered the effects of cancer, either directly or through the attack of the disease on a family member or friend. The fight to beat the disease has been a long and hard one, one that will continue until a cure can be found.
Locally, a big part of that fight is the annual Relay for Life, where loved ones who lost the fight are remembered, where survivors are honored and where the community comes together to raise funds for the fight.
This year's Relay for Life is this Saturday, from 11 a.m.-11 p.m., at Rogier Park, with the Family YMCA of Fayette County serving as a backup site in the event of bad weather.
The Relay for Life is always an event provides fun activities and entertainment while also raising the funds that are necessary to help cancer patients and the research that will, hopefully, one day lead to a cure.
We encourage you to be a part of this Saturday's Relay for Life, to show your support for cancer patients and survivors, and to be a part of the team committed to finding a cure.
