? CenterPointe Church, located at 1616 Veterans Ave. in Vandalia, is holding free Weekly Fit Club sessions at 6 p.m. every Thursday.
? TOPS IL 1872, Ramsey, will meet at the Christian Church in Ramsey. Weigh-in is at 6:20 p.m., and the meeting is at 7 p.m.
? The Vandalia Park District will hold a public hearing on the issue of allowing alcohol in the parks for softball tournaments and special events. It will be held at 6 p.m. in the Little Theater at Vandalia Elementary School.
? The annual convention of the Association of Lincoln Presenters will get under way at the Vandalia Country and Golf Club with a banquet and Civil War songs sung by FourGiven Quartert. Public events will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday, April 17

? The Kelly Miller Bros. Circus will be in town for performances at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the Vandalia Lake campgrounds, sponsored by the Vandalia Lions Club. Advance tickets, $12 for adults and $6 for children, are available at County Market and all branches of First National Bank, from Vandalia Lions Club members or online at www.kellymillercircus.com. Tickets purchased the day of the shows are $16 for adults and $8 for children.
? The Association of Lincoln Presenters continues with a dinner at First Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m. and guest speaker Paul Strobel at 7:30 p.m. and "Drinkin' with Lincoln" at The Copper Penny at 8 p.m. The meal, which includes port ribeye or salmon, is open to the public at a cost of $19, but a limited number of meals will be available.

Saturday, April 18

? The Association of Lincoln Presenters convention continues with a Lincoln Forum at 9 a.m., picnic lunch at 11:45 a.m., Lincoln parade on Gallatin Street at 1 p.m., and a social hour at 6 p.m., buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m. and Lincoln Ball at 7:30 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge.
? Crawford-Hale American Legion Unit 95 Auxiliary will hold a craft and vendor fair from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Legion Home, 321 S. Seventh St. The fair will feature 30 booths, as well as raffles and a 50/50 drawing. Admission is $3 per person, with children under 10 years of age admitted free.

Sunday, April 19

? The Association of Lincoln Presenters will hold a church service 10:30 a.m. at Church of God on Thrill Hill Road northwest of Vandalia.

Monday, April 20

? The Women of the Moose meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge.
? The Vandalia City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at city hall.
? The Taylor Cemetery annual meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Seminary Township building.

Tuesday, April 21

? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? Rainbow Reflections, a grief support group, meets from 6-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. Fourth St., Vandalia. Those planning to attend are asked to contact Mary Miller at 292-5366.
? The Vandalia Board of Education meets at 5 p.m. at the district's administration center.

Wednesday, April 22

? SAFE (Sexual Assault and Family Emergencies) will hold its annual charity luncheon from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge. The cost is $10. The meal is catered by Saathoff's Catering, and the menu includes shaved smoked ham with assorted homemade cheeses, pulled pork in homemade applebutter barbecue sauce, homemade tuna and chicken saled, homemade salads, chips with homemade French onion dip, vegetable tray with ranch dressing, assorted buns and crackers, fruit and dessert, and drinks.
? The Vandalia Eagles Aerie and Auxiliary meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Vandalia Eagles Club.

? Nadine of RFD TV will be at the Biggs Farm Hall, 1532 Highway 185, south of Brownstown on Ill. Route 185 and County Road 1525 East, at 7 p.m. Appearing with her are Steve Smith of the Gatlin Brothers Band and Teea Goans, with Keith Bilbrey as master of ceremonies.Tickets are available at the Brownstown Branch Library or by calling the library, 427-3853. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the show, and tickets in the back are available for half off.
