Family YMCA Holds Grand Raffle

The Family Y of Fayette County held its Grand Raffle on March 28 at the Vandalia Moose Lodge.

The holders of the final 10 raffle tickets agreed to split the $10,000 grand prize: The Copper Penny (Michael Schulze and Amy Gaffney), Kaskaskia Supply and Rental (Tim and Sara Whitten), Ann Fulk and Trevor Fulk, Kirk Feller, Patrick Maag and Amanda Maag, employees at Luallen, Cearlock, Barth and Burnam (Sharon Castle, Mark Burnam and Sandra Cearlock), Jim and Mary Schulze, Bryan and Matt Cain, Ryan Fiscus and Cody Hawkins, and Charles and Linda Barenfanger. In the first photo are the winners who were present: Sandra Cearlock, Steve Barker (for Ann Fulk), Mary Schulze, Amy Gaffney, master of ceremonies Chris Whitten, Ryan Fiscus and Tim Whitten. Other winners that evening included: first ticket, Stacy and Traci Stewart, $150; No. 25 ticket, Quinn Bowen and Ariana Calderaro, $25 each; No. 50, Midland States Bank, and Malia Stephens and Lynn Sefton, $50 each; No. 75, Jim Myers, $75; No. 100, YMCA No. 2, $100; No. 125, Tawnya Stout, $125; No. 150, Jim Pryor, $150; No. 175, Jeff and Deb Endres, $175; and No. 200, Josh Morrison. Due to a mixup on tickets pulled and announced, there were two winners for both the 25th and 50th tickets pulled. In the second photo, master of ceremonies Chris Whitten announces one of the tickets given to him by Joe Schaal, who co-chaired the event with Sandy Michel.
