? An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 2-7 p.m. at Brownstown High School.
? The Vandalia Park District Board of Trustees meets at 4 p.m. in the conference room at the Okaw Area Vocational Center, located west of Vandalia Community High School.
? The Methodist Men of First United Methodist Church in Vandalia will hold their annual pancake and sausage dinner from 4-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall at the church. Donations are accepted for the meal. Proceeds go to Methodist Men charitable projects.
? CenterPointe Church, located at 1616 Veterans Ave. in Vandalia, is holding free Weekly Fit Club sessions at 6 p.m. every Thursday.
? TOPS IL 1872, Ramsey, will meet at the Christian Church in Ramsey. Weigh-in is at 6:20 p.m., and the meeting is at 7 p.m.

Friday, March 13

? The Evans Public Library Homeschool group will meet from 1-2 p.m. at the library. Those interested in joining the group should contact Shawna Sprague at the library, 283-2824.
? Bingo will be held at the Crawford-Hale American Legion Post 95 Home, 321 S. Seventh St. Doors open at 5 p.m., and bingo begins at 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 14

? A pancake and sausage breakfast will be held from 6:30-10 a.m. a the American Legion Community Center in Farina. The all-you-can-eat breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and drinks. Carry-outs will be available. Proceeds go to the Fourth of July fireworks display.
? Brownstown VFW Post 9770 will hold an open house and chili and soup supper from 4-7 p.m. at the new post home. Donations will be accepted for the meal, with the proceeds to go to the post's building fund. The event includes a 50/50 raffle and a raffle for six baseballs autographed by former professional baseball players.
? Crawford-Hale American Legion Unit 95 Auxiliary will host The Barbara Fairchild Show from 7-9 p.m. at the Legion Home, 321 S. Seventh St., Vandalia. Tickets are $15 at the door; for advance tickets, contact Connie Bolyard at 283-4206 or 267-2232.

Sunday, March 15

? The annual St. Patrick's corned beef and cabbage dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Mother of Dolors Parish Center, 705 W. St. Clair St., Vandalia. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children, with children age 5 served free. It will include a country store and raffle. All proceeds go to Right to Life. Carry-outs will be available by calling 283-8738.

Monday, March 16

? The "We Choose Health" Community Walk will continue to be held at Brownstown Elementary on Mondays when school is in session. Anyone who walks at least 20 minutes between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. may register to win monthly prizes of Subway Sandwiches.  In May, a drawing will be held for two adult bicycles. The Brownstown Elementary Gym will be used during inclement weather.  Donations to walk are not required, but any donations in March and April are designated for the Brownstown Golden Years Club.
? The Women of the Moose meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge.
? The VFW Auxiliary of Old Capitol Post 3862 of Vandalia will meet at 7 p.m. at the VFW Home on West St. Louis Avenue.
? The Vandalia City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at city hall.

Tuesday, March 17

? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from noon-6 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge, sponsored by the Vandalia Rotary Club and Vandalia Woman's Club. Donors are to present a photo ID. ? The Vandalia Board of Education meets at 5 p.m. in the district administration center.
? Rainbow Reflections, a grief support group, will meet from 6-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. Fourth St., Vandalia. Those planning to attend are asked to contact Mary Miller, 292-5366.
