SEB boys drop opener vs. North Clay, beat South Central
ST. ELMO — The third quarter was the difference as North Clay defeated St. Elmo/Brownstown, 37-34, last Tuesday night in the boys basketball season-opener.
North Clay used a 10-3 run in the third-period to take the lead for good. The other three quarters were nearly even. SEB shot 40 percent from the field (13 of 32). The Eagles made just five of 13 free throws. The rebounds and turnover were nearly even between the teams. Malachi Maxey had 12 points and five steals for SEB, while Landon Feezel added eight rebounds and seven points. North Clay's Austin Hartsey scored 14 points.
St. Elmo/Brownstown beat South Central on Tuesday night, 67-40.
