Vendors accepted for wedding show

The first annual Central Illinois Wedding Show will be held on Sunday, Jan. 4, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at two locations: Carriage House Event Center in Altamont, owned and operated by Janet Ramsey, and Summer Breeze Wine House and Barn Venue in St. James, owned and operated by Tammy Lash.
Each venue, in years past, has had its own successful wedding show. This year, Lash approached Ramsey with this idea to combine shows by having the bride attend both venues.
This idea will provide a larger grand prize, assembled from all the vendors that participate, making both of the shows stronger and better.
“We’ve come up with the idea to really hone in on brides needs,  with local vendors that specialize in the true needs of the brides,” Lash said.
Ramsey is working on a booklet for brides, as well.
The deadline for vendor signing up for the show is Nov. 15.  They have to have all of the vendors signed up in order to get the show together before the holidays.  “With this announcement, we are already filling up fast,” Lash said.
The Carriage House Event Center is a new venue on a grand scale, with everything brides would need. It specializes in providing all the latest in event décor for the bride.
Summer Breeze Wine House Barn Venue provides a completely different atmosphere for the “country” brides, with a new barn venue that just opened this summer.
Lash said, “I’m happy to be working with Janet and sending brides her way who need the barn decorated or for table arrangements.
“We are both driven to customer service, so combining our wedding shows just works as and extension of both of our businesses and the dedication to our brides.”
