Healthy lifestyle class
The Kaskaskia College Office of Continuing/Community Education, in partnership with the University of Illinois Extension, will present a free “A Healthy Lifestyle that Lasts” class through the Vandalia Campus.
The class will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the U of I Extension office, located at 118 N Sixth St. in Vandalia.
The registration number for the class is COED-8097-VA01E.
This class is for people embarking on a healthier lifestyle. Participants can get updated on the latest dietary recommendations and how to make small changes over time. They will learn how to arm themselves with the skills they need and find out the best behavioral strategies for making lasting changes in their health.

‘Extreme Couponing’ class
The Kaskaskia College Office of Continuing/Community Education will present an “Extreme Couponing” class through the Vandalia Campus from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27.
The registration number for the class is COED 8058 VA01W.
This course will educate students on how to find coupons and use them for savings.
Students will receive knowledge of the different types of coupon, including newspaper inserts, online coupons and digital coupons, and how to find coupons sales.
After the completion of the course, students will be able to successfully save money at grocery stores, restaurants and retail stores, and online.
The cost is $10, and students over 60 may register free of charge.    

Beginning beekeeping class
The Kaskaskia College Office of Continuing/Community Education will present a beginning beekeeping class at the Vandalia Campus from 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Beginning beekeeping is an introductory course designed to acquaint the students with basic beekeeping. It will provide information on how to begin this hobby and eventually develop it into a satisfying and possibly profitable endeavor
Students will be given a brief history and overview of the subject, along with the equipment and management practices necessary to be successful.
The cost is $20, but students over 60 may register free of charge.

Students may register for these courses through the Vandalia Campus by calling 283-1780 or the Office of Continuing/Community Education at Kaskaskia College at 545-3255. Space is limited, and all students must pre-register for these classes.
