Emily Elizabeth Tally of Vandalia and Travis Mitchell Knebel of Smithboro were married in a ceremony at 4 p.m. on June 7, 2014, at Steve Knebel’s farm in rural Vandalia, with the Rev. Kurt Simon officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Roy and Tammie Tally of Smithboro, and was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a strapless, ivory lace Maggie Sotterro dress, with a mermaid-style taupe sash with flower embellishments and a corset back.
The bride chose Kenley Hamel of Greenville as her matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Ashley Knebel of Vandalia, Keely Burns of East Alton and Chelsea Lindahl of Keyesport.
Ava Knebel and Jaidyn Lile were flower girls, and Jared Lile was ringbearer.
The groom is the son of Richard and Carla Knebel, and Joey and Carol Ferguson, all of Vandalia.
He chose John Zimmer of Marion, Ky., as his best man.
Groomsmen were Josh Wattles, Eric Jernigan, Ryan Thiele and Jeremy Moreland, all of Vandalia.
Ushers were Jeffery Lile of Greenville and Cameron White of St. Peter.
A reception was held at the Greenville VFW Home. The couple honeymooned on a Royal Caribbean cruise to St. Maarten and St. Thomas.
They reside in Vandalia.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Mulberry Grove High School. She is receptionist at Beckert Family Dentistry.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Vandalia Community High School. He is a site technician for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
