The Atwood reunion was held on Saturday, June 28, at Rogier Park in Vandalia.
After a noon meal, the reunion meeting was opened by Connie Grubaugh, in the absence of reunion president Bill Hunter.
The Lord’s Prayer was recited, and the minutes from the 2013 reunion were read, with no corrections made. Officers for 2015 are: Max Atwood, president; Jim Atwood, vice president; and Connie Grubaugh, secretary/treasurer.
Two births were reported: Christopher Scott Dale Atwood, son of J.W. Atwood and Natasha Turley, grandson of Crystal Critcheloe and great-grandson of Jim and Charlotte Atwood; and Emmerson Cepparulo, son of Tommy Cepparulo and grandson of Mary (Atwood) and Joe Cepparulo.
Two marriages were reported: Emily Atwood, daughter of Roger and Renee Atwood and granddaughter of Jim and Charlotte Atwood, to Trevor Robbins on June 14, 2014; and Sarah Hutchison, daughter of Melissa (Funk) and Dennis Hutchison and granddaughter of Una and the late Bob Funk, to T.J. Kinkead on May 31, 2014.
One death was reported: Ella Funk, wife of the late Don Funk, on Aug. 29, 2013.
The oldest person present was Wanda King, and the youngest was Chrystal Critcheloe. Traveling the furthest were Tom and Connie Grubaugh.
Correspondence was read from Kay Funk Holt about her mother and from Melody Freeman, in Texas with her husband, Phil.
Relatives came from Brownstown, Pana, Danville, and Chrisman in Illinois and Mooresville, Ind.
The next reunion will be held on the last Saturday in June 2015.
The meeting was closed with a prayer by Esther Cunningham.

The 34th biennial Rubin reunion will be held on Sunday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church parish hall.
A potluck dinner will begin at 12:30 p.m., with beverages, paper plates and tableware being furnished. Those attending are asked to provide a list of births, deaths and marriages since the 2012 reunion to update the family tree.

The family of Madge Brown hosted the 52nd annual reunion of Maude Workman and Frank Springman descendants at the Centennial Building in St. Elmo Park.
Guests of honor were Frank Springman of St. Elmo, Phyllis McElheney of Metamora and Iris Hall of Town and Country, Mo.
A catered meal was served to the 104 guests after a welcome from Jake Brown and a special blessing led by Frank Springman.

Traveling the farthest was Rosalyn Sample from Goleta, Calif.  The day included a lot of visiting and reminiscing.
Brice VanSant and Brock Lankow brought their corn hole boards for some fun competition. The children enjoyed the playground equipment and basketball court.
When Sally Lankow and Tela VanSant brought out the snow cone machine kids and adults alike lined up for a cool treat.  Daryl Calvert brought some of her popular ice cream, too.
A special treat was had when Bill Springman brought out his dad’s (George Springman) very old guitar and Jake Brown tuned and played a little on it.

The Boaz reunion will be held at noon this Sunday at the Lions Club pavilion at the Vandalia Lake Marina.

The 65th Lynch family reunion will be held this Sunday at the Butler Community Center, starting with a potluck meal at noon.

Descendants of Daniel and Mary Frazier Buzzard are invited to attend a Buzzard family reunion on Sunday, Aug. 10, at Greenland Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Beecher City, Illinois.
Sign-in begins at 12:45 p.m. and a covered potluck dinner is at 1 p.m. Table service and drinks will be provided.
All descendants of Daniel and Mary Frazier Buzzard and their children – William, Harmon, Benjamin, Julian, Silas, Martha (Phillips), John Smith, and George and Clarissa (Morrison) – are encouraged to attend.  
Pictures, Buzzard history, memorabilia will be on display, and events will be held throughout the afternoon. The legacy of Daniel and Mary Buzzard will be read and overhead photos will be played during the festivities.

The Schnake family reunion, normally held in St. Peter, has been canceled for this year due to other obligations.
The next reunion will be held next year.

The annual Southern Illinois Sefton reunion will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9, at Liberty Christian Church Fellowship Hall, with a noon potluck meal. Drinks and table service will be provided.
