Kristin Davison of Vandalia and Matthew Osorio of Horseshoe Bend, Ind., have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The future bride is the daughter of Terri Davison and the late Charles “Chuck” Davison of Vandalia, and the granddaughter of Wilbert and Marcia Vaughn of Brownstown, and the late Phil and Gert Davison of Brownstown.
The future groom is the son of Sharlene Earl of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho, and Jesus Osorio of Emmett, Idaho, and the grandson of the late Arthur “Tuffy” Stone and Wanda Stone of Horseshoe Bend, Ind., and Maria Osorio of Mexicali, Mexico.
The future bride is a 2009 graduate of Vandalia Community High School, earned an associate’s degree from Kaskaskia College and is working toward a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
She is geospatial engineer in the Army.
The future groom is a 2006 graduate of Horseshoe Bend High School, and is working toward a bachelor’s degree in sports and health science.
He is an advanced field artillery tactical data specialist in the Army.
Both the future bride and groom are stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
The couple are planning a 2 p.m. wedding on Saturday, Aug. 2, wedding at Hawks Prairie Golf Course in Lacey, Wash., with a reception to follow at the golf course.
