Summer classes offered at KC Vandalia Campus

Registration for classes for the 2014 Summer Semester at the Kaskaskia College Vandalia Campus is now in progress and applications are still being accepted.

Classes offered at Vandalia for the summer 2014 Semester include:  Accounting Principles, Introduction to Art, Art History I, Biology 101, Anatomy & Physiology, Introduction to Business, Personal Finance, Legal and Social Environment of Business, General Chemistry, Intro to Word Processing, Microsoft Excel (Beginner), Computer Application and Business Systems Concept, Principles of Economics, Writing Effective Sentence Paragraphs, Intro to College Composition, English Composition 101 and 102, First Year College Experience, Career Education Planning, History of Western Civilizations, History of the United States, History of Diversities, Human Health and Wellness, First Aid, Intro to Criminal Justice, Air and Bloodborne Pathogens-CJ, Institutional Corrections, Fundamentals of Math I and II, Basic Mathematics, Elementary Algebra, Elementary Plane Geometry, Intermediate Algebra, Intro to Contemporary Math, General Statistics, Math for Elementary Teachers I, Medical Terminology, Intro to Music in America, Music in Early Childhood, Nurse Assistant, Jogging, Walking, Basic Weight Training, Karate I, Fitness Center Participation, Core Values/Ethical Decision Making, Political Science, Life Span Growth and Development, Psychology, Fundamentals of Reading, Critical Reading/Study Skill, Sociology, Spanish, Fundamentals of Speech and MIG Welding.
Non-credit offerings includes Computer College-Part 2 and Introduction to the Internet, Digital Photography, Heart Health Workshop, Beginning Guitar, Beginning Beekeeping, Interesting Insects, Memoir-Life Style.
These course offerings are a great opportunity for university students who are home for the summer to save time and money by taking a summer class at KC to transfer back to their institution and get them one step closer to their degree!

In-district high school students entering their sophomore, junior or senior year are also eligible for the Jump Start scholarship. Call 545-3048 for more information on this scholarship or see the high school guidance counselor.
