Vandals drop final four games of regular season

All three seniors singled in the final game of their careers on Tuesday, an 11-0 loss at Roxana.

Matt Beck, Colin Ledbetter and Carson Smith had all of Vandalia’s hits in the South Central Conference game, which gave Roxana a share of the conference title.

The Vandals finish the season at 8-18 (1-8 SCC).

Vandalia went 0-2 at last Saturday’s Ish Smith Classic in Greenville, with a 5-4 loss to Pinckneyville and a 7-6 loss to Red Bud.

Josh Ledbetter recorded the first two hits of his career in the Pinckneyville game, and Richie Well had three hits against Red Bud.
