Great-grandparents are Cadet and Jennie DeNise of Boyne Falls, Mich., the late Al and Reba Elder of Vandalia, the late Jean Durbin and Bob and Eva Durbin of Vandalia, and the late John “Jack” Mars Sr. of Tulsa, Okla.
