This week’s Mystery Banks Photo: This young man, pictured in 1944, was dressed in a military uniform because his father was in the service at the time.

The boy later attended Vandalia High School, where he played football and basketball, graduating in 1961. Following college, he married his high school sweetheart. They have one daughter, two sons and four grandchildren. They live in a town northeast of Vandalia.
