Kaskaskia College recently held a Fall Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society induction, and 70 students were recognized for scholastic achievement.
The Phi Theta Kappa fraternity of Kaskaskia College is a recognized international honorary society whose object is to promote scholarship, to develop character and to cultivate fellowship among students in community colleges in the United States. The chapter on the Kaskaskia College campus is known as the Iota Omicron Chapter. Student members must earn a
scholastic average of 3.50 to be offered membership. Local students who were inducted into the fraternity were: Farina-Keisha Smith; Mulberry Grove-Newton Albert and DeAnna Phipps; Patoka-Bradley Braddock; and Vandalia-Jessica Evaul.
