KC Board approves Vandalia Campus Phase II plans, design

The Kaskaskia College Board of Trustees met in regular session on Monday.
The board approved the design and floor plan for Phase II of the Vandalia Campus.  The project’s estimated construction budget is $7,299,999.

Additional funds available for technology and equipment/furniture are $324,717, for a total project budget of $7,624,716.  This project is funded through a $5.6-million allocation from a capitol bill, in addition to two gifts from the Ruth Davis and Mary Albert O’Neill estates.
 
The planned expansion is approximately 25,317 square feet and will include six Multi-Purpose Rooms, a Fine and Performing Arts Venue, Distance Learning Classroom, Nursing/Allied Health Classroom, Nursing Lab, two Computer Classrooms, an Industrial Lab, three Business Incubator Offices, Faculty Offices, a Student Commons Area, Conference Room, and Warming Kitchen.

The plans for Phase II will be presented at the Vandalia Campus this afternoon (Tuesday).
