Kaskaskia College offering sports camps

KC offering girls soccer and basketball camps in June

The Kaskaskia College Blue Angel soccer and basketball programs will host summer camps the week of June 18-22.  

The camps are for girls entering kindergarten through sixth grades. The soccer camp will be held from 9 a.m.-noon, and the basketball camp will be held from 1-4 p.m.  

Students can register for one of the camps for $60, or can register for both for $100. All participants will receive a T-shirt.

It is suggested that students in both camps bring lunch.

The camps will be run by women’s soccer coach Joe Basch, women’s basketball coach Shane Larson and current players.  

Both camps will give individual instruction on the fundamentals of the game. Players should wear soccer shoes and shin guards for the soccer camps, and should bring their own water bottle to the camp.

Soccer campers should meet at soccer field and basketball campers should meet in the gym.

KC offering co-ed tennis camp for youths this June

A co-ed tennis camp will be held at Kaskaskia College the week of June 11-15.  

The camp is for students entering kindergarten through sixth grade, and will be held from 9-10:30 a.m.

Registration cost for the camp is $30 and includes a camp T-shirt.  

The camp will be instructed by KC women’s tennis coach Beth Stedelin and current players.  

The camp will give individual instruction on the fundamentals of the game.  

Pre-registration is required.
