Summer baseball and softball sign-up ends Saturday

Sign-up for the summer baseball and softball programs at the Fayette County Family YMCA ends on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Many different leagues are available for various age groups, and all players will receive a T-shirt that serves as their uniform.

Registration information for each league follows.

•Boys and girls under 5 years old; $15 for members, $30 for nonmembers.

•Boys and girls 6-and-under;  $20 for members $40 for nonmembers.

Pinto baseball/softball
•Boys and girls 8-and-under; $25 for members, $50 for nonmembers.

Mustang baseball/softball
•Boys and girls 10-and-under; $35 for members, $70 for nonmembers.

Bronco baseball/softball
•Boys and girls 12-and-under; $35 for members, $70 for nonmembers.

Pony baseball/softball
•Boys and girls 14-and-under; $35 for members, $70 for nonmembers.

Umpires needed for YMCA's youth softball and baseball

The Fayette County Family YMCA is looking to hire umpires for this summer's youth baseball and softball season.

Games will be played from mid-May to mid-July.

Leagues needing umpires are: pinto baseball, mustang baseball/softball, bronco baseball/softball and pony baseball/softball.

Anyone interested in umpiring games should contact YMCA Program Director Amber Daulbaugh at 283-1258 or [email protected] or stop by the YMCA to fill out a form.
