? The Fayette County Knights of Columbus will hold an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Mother of Dolors Parish Center, Seventh and St. Clair streets, Vandalia. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-11. Carry-outs are available.
 Saturday, March 3

? A benefit for Danny (Boone) Fenton, the husband of former Vandalia resident Jeanette (Moulton) will be held from 5-9 p.m. at the Butler Community Center. The proceeds will be used for medical bills and living expenses for Fenton, who had surgery in January to remove a solid mass from his kidney. The benefit will include a dinner with baked mostaccioli, salad, garlic bread, brownies and white cake for $6. The benefit will include a live auction, drawing for a Henry Golden Boy lever-action rifle and 50/50 drawing.
? A benefit for Mark Landreth, a former Vandalia Correctional Center employee, will be held from 5-10 p.m. at the Edgewood American Legion Home to help with travel and medical expenses for monthly cancer treatments in Houston, Texas. The benefit will include food, a DJ, auction and 50/50 drawing.
? A country music dance and potluck is held from 7-10 p.m. every Saturday at 202 W. Madison St. in Ramsey (the former Baptist Church). Admission is $5.

? The annual Immanuel Augsburg Lutheran Church, located on the St. Peter blacktop, will hold its annual soup luncheon from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the church's parish hall. The menu will include chicken soup, chili, peanut butter sandwiches, chicken salad, hot dogs and homemade desserts. A free-will offering will be taken.
? The regular monthly meeting of the Shoal Creek Chapter of ABATE will be held at 1 p.m. at the VFW Home on West St. Louis Avenue in Vandalia.
? The Effingham County Tea Party will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Petro Truck Stop in Effingham. The meetings are open to the public.

? The Vandalia Rotary Club will meet at noon at Ponderosa.
? A Caregiver Connection seminar, "Confidence Boosters for Caregivers," will be held from 3-4 p.m. at Brookstone Estates, 1607 W. Fillmore St., Vandalia. Refreshments will be provided.
? The Vandalia Women of the Moose will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge.

? The United Methodist Men will hold their annual pancake and sausage supper from 4-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. Fourth St., Vandalia. The proceeds will be used to support the United Methodist Men's projects.
