Shreve awarded scholarship

Megan Shreve of Vandalia was awarded an $8,500 merit-based Presidential Scholarship from MacMurray College.

Shreve, a senior at Vandalia Community High School, plans to major in nursing. She plays volleyball, softball and basketball, is a National Honor Society member and is on the yearbook staff. She is the daughter of Carl and Lisa Shreve of Vandalia.
MacMurray’s Presidential Scholarships, which are in addition to any need-based financial aid, are based on a student’s high school grade-point average, ACT score, and on a writing test and an interview during a scholarship competition at the college last month.
