Fayette County Treasurer Rose Hoover was among 93 county treasurers from across the state who attended a meeting March 30-31 hosted by Illinois State Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka. "As chief financial officers, we have a responsibility to ensure that tax dollars are spent wisely," Topinka said. "By attending this year’s training program, Rose has shown a continued commitment to better serve the people of Fayette County.” The 2011 County Treasurers Training Program is a state-mandated education workshop hosted every four years by the Illinois Office of the Comptroller. The meeting was planned in coordination with the Illinois County Treasurers' Association. Hoover, left, is shown with Cory Jobe, deputy chief of staff from the comptroller's office.
