Regional assignments announced by IHSA

The Illinois High School Association announced the 2011 baseball and softball regional assignments last Thursday.

Regional tournament games for baseball will begin on May 16, and softball tournaments will start on May 17. The state tournament for each is June 3-4.

Assignments for area teams are listed below, along with the other teams that were placed in the same regional:
