Home & Garden show is Saturday

Area residents wanting to learn about the newest products and services available for the home and garden this spring can do so this Saturday without leaving town.

The annual Vandalia Chamber of Commerce Home & Garden Show will be held at the Vandalia Junior High School gymnasium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In addition to the chamber, the co-sponsors of the event are The Leader-Union and WKRV/WPMB radio stations of Vandalia.

As the name of the event implies, this year’s version of the show features an additional emphasis on lawn and garden products and services. About 30 vendors have committed to participating in the show. Providing  food at the show is Givens Meat Shop.

Admission to the Home & Garden Show will be $2 on the day of the show. However, advance tickets are available for $1 from Midland States Bank,  many chamber members or from the chamber office, which is located at 1408 N. Fifth St.

The chamber phone number is 283-2728.
