Erma L. Warner, 102, of Vandalia, died at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Peter Kolb officiating. Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery in Ramsey. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia and one hour before services on Friday at the church. Mrs. Warner was born on Dec. 17, 1908, in Ramsey, the daughter of Calvin and Cassie Burris Lippert. She married John R. Warner on Sept. 26, 1925, in Hillsboro; he died on Oct. 26, 2000.
She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia.
She is survived by sons, Louie Warner and his wife Marge of Shobonier, Gary Warner and his wife Shirley of Vandalia, and Haldon Warner and his wife Betty of Vandalia; daughters, Juanita Pope of Pana and Irene Pope of Vandalia; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Harold; two sisters; and a grandson, John Robert Kirk.
