Jane Clausen Moffit, 58, of St. Louis, Mo., and formerly of Vandalia, died on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Louis.

Jane was born on Nov. 20, 1952, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Cecil C. and Betty Clausen.
She attended Vandalia grade schools and was a 1970 graduate of Vandalia Community High School. She was a graduate of the Barnes Hospital School of Nursing and Webster College, both in St. Louis. She was retired from Barnes and Children’s hospitals in St. Louis after 30 years of nursing, which included serving as the head nurse of the premie nursery at Barnes Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Moffitt; daughter, Kelly Moffitt; son, Michael Moffitt; mother; brother, Chris Clausen and his wife Karen of Ozark, Mo.; nephew Curtis Clausen of Ozark, Mo.; aunts, Joan Herron of Findlay and Janet Herron of Shelbyville; and several cousins.
