All of Patoka’s runs were unearned in its4-2 win over Mulberry Grove on Monday at the Ramsey Tournament.
Johnnie Clift reached base on errors twice, and both times he scored. Quinn Wadkins had two singles and two RBIs.
Zach Thompson and Mark Rodgers scored the other Patoka runs.
Thompson gave up just two hits and recorded eight strikeouts in picking up the win.
Heilig took the loss for the Aces, giving up just three hits.

Brownstown 14
Ramsey 3

In the other contest at the Ramsey Tournament on Monday, Brownstown notched a 14-3 win over the host team.
The Bombers took advantage of walks and hit batsmen in the first inning to score nine times. The Bombers had just two hits in that inning, singles by Dylan Fulk and Bryce Mason.
Brownstown added another run in the second, then scored four times in the fourth in a game shortened to four innings by the 10-run rule.
Colton Hunter had two hits, a single and a double, for the Bombers, and Mason, Coleman Scott, Fulk and Shane Sefton each added a hit.
Hunter recorded the win, giving up six hits. Luke Webb took the loss.
Webb and Ryan Black each had two hits for the Rams, and Austin Cunningham and Nick Wodtka each had one safety.

South Central 5
Woodlawn 3

Derek Harmeier held Woodlawn to five hits and Cole Armstrong’s double in the sixth inning drove home the winning run in South Central’s season opener on Monday.
Harmeier struck out 11 and walked four in going the distance on the mound for the Cougars in the 5-3 win over Woodlawn.
Offensively, the Cougars were led by Luke Krajefska’s 2-for-2 performance. Krajefska also walked and executed a sacrifice bunt.
Larry Schoreck was 2-for-3, and Armstrong and Colton Wilkins each had one hit in four at-bats.
