Teen injured when truck collides with train

A Vandalia teen sustained serious injuries on Saturday when the pickup truck he was driving collided with a train.
According to the Illinois State Police, Nathaniel C. Henna, 16, was northbound on County Road 1050 East when he drove upon a rail crossing and was struck by a northbound train owned by CSX Railroad Transportation Co.
The crash caused damage to the left front portion of the train and to the entire front portion of the truck driven by Henna.
Henna was ticketed for disobeying a signal indicating the approach of a train. State police said he was wearing a seat belt.
He was taken to Fayette County Hospital for treatment.
