Zachary P. Irvin, 22, of St. Elmo, died at 8:43 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, in East St. Louis.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Freedom Reigns in Christ Church in St. Elmo, with Jakob Barrientos officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the church. Gieseking Funeral Home in Altamont was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: The family.
Mr. Irvin was born on Sept. 9, 1987, in Dallas, Texas. He was the son of Leslie Joe Irvin and Paula D. Miller-Stanley.
He had been employed with Cumberland Trail Growers in St. Elmo, and was affiliated with Freedom Reigns in Christ Church in St. Elmo.
He is survived by his father, of Combine, Texas; mother, of St. Elmo; brother, Leslie Joe Irvin Jr. of Norman, Okla.; paternal grandparents, Roger and Rea Stock of Seagoville, Texas; maternal grandfather, Jimmie Ray Miller of Wilmington; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Ann Miller of St. Elmo; several aunts and uncles, and great-aunts and great-uncles; and many cousins.
