Maurice M. ‘Moe’ Reynolds, 72, Vandalia

Maurice Monroe “Moe” Reynolds, 72, of Vandalia, died at 4 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with Dr. Roger Grimmett officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials: United Methodist Children’s Home.

Mr. Reynolds was born on Aug. 2, 1937, in Vandalia, the son of Maurice and Olive Robertson Reynolds.

He graduated from Vandalia Community High School in 1955 and from Rolla Missouri School of Mines in January 1960. For 35 years, he lived in the Los Angeles, Calif., area and worked for Rockwell International in the Missile Defense Department, primarily with U.S. naval bases. He loved fishing, hiking and camping, and spent much of his free time backpacking in the mountains.

He is survived by a brother, Joe Reynolds and his wife Diane Reynolds of Effingham; and nephews, Yale of Effingham and Mike of Terre Haute, Ind.

    seen the reynolds name and hope someone might know of my mothers family. mother was ruth reynolds from st elmo and her parents were john a reynolds and betty shell reynolds mother was born in 1909 i think any help is appricated. jyeagly@yahoo.com
