Terry L. Thompson, 47, of Patoka, died on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at First Baptist Church in Patoka, with the Rev. David Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Patoka Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Friday, both at the church. Day Funeral Home in Patoka was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Thompson was born on Feb. 2, 1962, in Vandalia, the son of Dale and Evelyn Lake Thompson. He married Patricia Sue “Trish” Johnson on May 20, 1988, in Patoka.
He grew up in Patoka and moved in 1989 to Greenville, where he was the director of respiratory therapy in Greenville. He then moved to Jacksboro, Tenn., and worked in respiratory therapy. He moved back to Patoka three years ago.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Matthew Thompson and Aaron Thompson, both of Patoka; daughter, Rachel Thompson of Patoka; brothers, Ross Thompson and his wife Wilma of Decatur, Murl Thompson and his wife Sue of Pittsburg, Pa., and Larry Thompson and his wife DeAnn of Patoka; sisters, Sherry and her husband Kenneth “Chub” Wadkins of Patoka, and Brenda and her husband Wayne Keeling of Vernon; mother-in-law, Janet Johnson of Brownstown; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kitina and Lonny Dothager of Mulberry Grove, and William Jr. and Stephanie Johnson of Brownstown.
