Frank Leon Bone, 64, of Vandalia, died on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at his residence.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Liberty Cemetery in Mulberry Grove, with the Rev. Adam Hahs officiating. There was no visitation. Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: The family.
Mr. Bone was born on Jan. 22, 1945, in Sorento, the son of Floyd and Nora “Blanche” Carrolton Bone. He married Sandra “Sandy” June Davis on April 16, 1970, in Hillsboro.
He was employed by Burlington Santa Fe Railroad, and he was affiliated with the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife; son, Tracy Bone of Vandalia; daughters, Lynn Oglesby of Lebanon, and Rhonda and her husband Trpy Meek of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; sisters, Erma Lee Bonderant and Dorothy Lyttaker; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
