Charles Asa Dial, 78, of Clarksville, Tenn., died on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville.
Graveside services will be held this Saturday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville, with Elder Marlin Guin officiating and military rites accorded. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home in Clarksville.
Mr. Dial was born on May 7, 1930, in rural Beecher City in Fayette County, the son of Zennie and Malinda Doty Dial.
He was a retired sergeant in the Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War and Korean Conflict.
He is survived by sons, Chuck Dial and his wife Carla of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Mike Dial of Clarksville, Tenn.; daughters, Linda and her husband Marlin Guin of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Carmen and her husband Robert Forsgren of Clarksville, Tenn.; sisters, Carrie Dodson and Fairy Kline of St. Elmo, Helen and her husband Norbert Korte of Vandalia; and Cora and her husband Emmet Miley of Beecher City; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
