Lois G. Brown, 83, of Ramsey, died at 2:25 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at First Baptist Church in Ramsey, with the Rev. Glenn Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery, Ramsey. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday at Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey and one hour before services on Monday at the church. Mrs. Brown was born on Oct. 4, 1925, in rural Ramsey, the daughter of Tim and Arena “Rena” Isabelle Spires Daniels. She married Oral Wilson Brown on Dec. 8, 1946, in Ramsey; he died on Aug. 21, 1997.
She was a retired teller at Ramsey National Bank in Ramsey, a member of First Baptist Church in Ramsey and a former member of the Ramsey Township Cemetery Board.
She is survived by sons, Dennis Brown and his wife Debbie of Blanchard, Okla., and Bruce Brown of Casey; brother, Robert L. Daniels and wife Sandy of Olathe, Kan.; sister, Doris Crow of Ramsey; grandchildren, Jodi Johnston, and Seth Brown and his wife Teresa; and great-grandchildren, Piper Johnston and Grace Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
