Doris N. Lach, 78, of Mulberry Grove, died at 4:35 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, in Greenville.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville, with the Rev. Loren File officiating. Burial will be in McInturff Cemetery in rural Hagarstown. Visitation was to be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Thursday, both at the funeral home. Memorials: The family.
Mrs. Lash was born on April 23, 1930, north of Greenville on the Pigg family farm that is now owned by Wayne Roe, the daughter of Harry Lee and Celelia Mildred Lynch. She married A. Loyd Lsh on July 1, 1963, in Greenville; he died on June 28, 1987.
She grew up north of Fillmore and in the Mulberry Grove area, attending Seagraves School. Early in life, she worked at an ice cream store in Hillsboro, then for Mulberry Meat Locker for several years. She was later a waitress, working at Hardee’s and then in McDonald’s in Vandalia for 15 years. She was active in Vanburensburg Community Church and Hagarstown Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons, Loyd Lynn Lash and his friend Starla Bailey of Vandalia, and Randy Lynch of Manhattan, Mont.; grandchildren, Jacky Renee, Jessenyn, Greg, Joey, Kelly, Amanda Danielle, Erin Lynette, Christopher Lamont and Cory Raynal; and great-grandchildren, Riley, Brandy, Logan and Emma.
