Pat A. Keister, 64, Patoka

Pat A. Keister, 64, of Patoka, died on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at her home.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Patoka Baptist Church, with the Revs. David Rogers, Dwayne Ambrose and Terry Sims officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Centralia. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of services on Monday, both at the Church. Day Funeral Home in Patoka was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: VNA Tip Hospice.

Mrs. Keister was born on Dec. 22, 1944, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Mayford Edward Meyer, and was reared by Alice and Jim Logue. She married Gary D. Keister on Aug. 10, 1965, in Sandoval.

She lived in Patoka all of her life. She was a homemaker and farm wife, assisting in every aspect of the farm for many years. She was a member of Patoka Baptist Church and Chapter 32 of the International Harvester Club. She was an avid doll collector and enjoyed attending IH tractor shows.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Angie and her husband Harry Braddock, and Beth and her husband Tater Orrell of Shattuc; grandchildren, Casey Braddock and Bradley Braddock, both of Patoka; and sister, Sharon and her husband Ben Walker of Morton.
