Leon L. Hatfill, 66, of Mulberry Grove, died at 8:48 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at Fayette County Hospital.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Burial was in McInturff Cemetery, Hagarstown. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
Mr. Hatfill was born on Dec. 20, 1942, in Fayette County, the son of Leon L. Hatfill and Goldie Blankenship. He married Mary A. Cline on March 27, 1965, in Vandalia.
He was employed at Orgill in Vandalia.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Jody A. and her husband Robert Groff of Vandalia, Tammy S. and her husband Phil Maske of St. Peter, and Angela K. and her husband David Lascelles of Vandalia; son, Jason T. Hatfill and his wife Debbie of Mulberry Grove; sister, Rosetta Diveley of Vandalia; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Hatfill; and a sister, Shirley Grubaugh.
