Angela McClanahan, 42, of Vandalia, died at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Springfield Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Bible Way House of Prayer in Mulberry Grove, with the Revs. Patrice White and Helen Osborn officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the church. Memorials: Bible Way House of Prayer.
Mrs. McClanahan was born on Jan. 19, 1966, in Vandalia, the daughter of Larry Wright and Phyllis Dunnagan Elder. She married Mike McClanahan on July 13, 2005, at Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
She was a certified medical assistant.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Gino Paoletti of Pittsburg, Pa., and Joseph Etcheson of Vandalia; daughter, Tabitha Etcheson of Greenville; stepdaughter, Jennifer and her husband Michael Rowcliff of Raleigh, N.C.; stepson, Jeremy McClanahan of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Jayda and Kaitlyne; father, Larry Wright and his wife Donna of Mulberry Grove; mother, Phyllis and her husband Eugene Elder of Vandalia; and brother, Larry Wright Jr. of Elizabeth, Colo.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
