D. Jeannette Wall, 84, Vandalia

D. Jeannette Wall, 84, of Vandalia, died at 6:06 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2008, at her home.

Services were held 1 p.m. on Saturday at Perfetti Funeral Home, in Sorento. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials: Sunnyside Cemetery.

Mrs. Wall was born on Nov. 30, 1924, in Pocahontas, the daughter of Hiram and Fannie Beatty Crouch. She married Robert L. Wall on Nov. 30, 1946, in Greenville.

She was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the family farm.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Robert L. “Sonny” Jr. and his wife Virginia of Moweaqua, and Jerry Wall, and Jim and his wife Mary Wall, both of Vandalia; daughter, Rose and her husband Gene Hoover of Brownstown; 10 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
