William J. “Bill” Miller, 24, of Macon and formerly of Ramsey, died at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Ramsey Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sally Hamon officiating. Burial will be in Welch Cemetery, rural Ramsey. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey, and from 5-6 p.m. on Saturday at Dawson-Wikoff Funeral Home in Blue Mound, with a memorial service at 6 p.m. Memorials: Blue Mound Fire Department.
Mr. Miller was born on Dec. 6, 1983, in Vandalia, the son of Meredith L. and Diane K. Leigh Miller.
He was a truck driver for C&J Trucking, a former welder for Caterpillar in Decatur and a truck driver for Ross Rhodes in Ramsey. He was a member of Zion Chapel United Methodist Church in Boody; a member of and First Responder with the Blue Mound Fire Department; and a member of the Blue Mound Lions Club.
He is survived by his parents, of Macon; brothers, Carl L. miller and Heath R. Miller, both of Macon; sister, Breanne Miller of Macon; grandparents, Carl Miller and Betty Leigh, both of Ramsey; and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Betty Miller and Captain Leigh.
